Literoma Celebrated their Annual Achiever Award Ceremony in Kolkata

On the auspicious day of Mahalaya, the onset of Devi Paksha, city’s one of the most happening literary communities #LITEROMA celebrated their annual Achiever Award Ceremony with great pomp and show. Every year Literoma felicitates five young, women and star achievers whom they believe are proactively contributing to the society outside their core areas of work.

When Enterprise World News interviewed Reetwika Banerjee, the Chief Mentor of Literoma, about her vision of such an unusual recognition initiative she said, “We strongly believe, people who are proactively contributing to the society in terms of thought leadership, literary creations, heritage preservation, music therapy, filmmaking for a cause, art and culture especially beyond their professional realm or family time are the torchbearers of Indian heritage. They are true achievers and we at Literoma aim to recognize them though our annual Achiever Awards program.”

Veteran economist turned columnist Mr. Pradip Gupta was the Chief Guest of Honour. Subrata Bandyopadhyay, Devapriyo Ray and Resmi Chatterjee from the esteemed jury panel were also present. The opening speech was followed by a colourful felicitation program where awardees from all walks of life were duly honoured by Literoma. The program ended with mesmerizing performances by the achievers who read their self-composed poetry, stories or hummed their own compositions.

The winners of Literoma Achiever Award 2019 are – Dr. Sujata Chatterjee, Dr. Sunil Kaushal, Sweta Kumari, Dr. Manisha Yadava, Namita Jagaddeb, Pradnya Kulkarni, Kshama Rao, Sujit Kumar Mukherjee, Kapil Raj, Jagriti Roy, Srijoy Mitra, Jayanta Ghadei, Prajna Dutta, Ilias Asgar and Kumar Yadav.

The star studded evening was graced by literary stalwarts who travelled all the way from Delhi, Ranchi, Bhubaneshwar, Pune, Bodh Gaya, Bangalore and other corners of India. Srijoy Mitra, a talented young achiever from the US, could not join in person, but he did not forget to share a musical message which was played during the award ceremony. Ilias Asgar and Kumar Yadav were two mentally retarded young achievers from the city, whose presence were highly missed during the felicitation program. Enterprise World News feels proud to be associated as the media partner of such a graceful socio-literary community budding in the heart of Kolkata.
